Ray and Helen Gorman were married by the Rev. George Winfrey, Easter Sunday, March 28, 1948.

The couple will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with family at their daughter’s home in Alexandria, on Saturday, May 16, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Helen is a homemaker and retired from Guide Lamp Division of General Motors. Ray has worked at many different stores as a meat cutter in Anderson.

Both are enjoying their family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They have five children, Rodney Gorman, Kim R. Gorman and Linda (Phil) Ellis, all of Alexandria, Joy (Dave) Toombs and Teena (Mike) Stanley of Summitville.
