n Hutson receives grant — Former Indiana State athlete and current volunteer assistant track & field coach Kylie Hutson has been named one of nine inaugural Stephen A. Schwarzman elite grant recipients, according to the USA Track & Field Foundation.

Schwarzman, the Chairman, CEO and co-founder of Blackstone, recently made a major gift of $500,000 to the USATF Foundation in support of world-class athletes in track and field that are likely medal contenders at the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

“I congratulate this deserving group of grantees and applaud their exceptional drive and dedication,” Schwarzman said. “It is an honor to support such a talented group of men and women and I hope that with the USTAF Foundation’s help and their own determination, we can help them achieve their Olympic ambitions.”

The Foundation Elite Athlete Grant Program contributes to the pursuit of world-class performances by American post-collegiate track and field athletes. Athletes must meet minimum performance and financial need standards to be eligible.
