— The trial of Jesse Lee Pitts is set to continue in Madison County Superior Court 3 today. Pitts stands accused of killing 14-year-old Amanda Brinker last September and faces 45 to 65 years in prison if convicted.
The Herald Bulletin will post updates to our Web site live from the trail. Pitts’ girlfriend, Barbara Howard, is expected to testify this morning, while several police experts, including pathologist Dr. Paul Mellen, will likely take the stand this afternoon.
