Fans cheer Colts in Anderson

By Dave Stafford, Herald Bulletin Staff Writer

Anderson Mayor Kris Ockomon was among the hundreds in the crowd yesterday, and said the event sent a positive message.

“Domestic violence and violence in the community is prevalent. We

do everything we can to bring attention to trying to curb that and do

away with it altogether,” he said.

Reese said similar programs are planned in the future. After Wednesday’s event, he’s aiming for the stars.

“We’ve written letters to people like (NBA stars) Kobe (Bryant), Lebron (James),” he said. “You never know. If they’re going through here they might be able to stop and share their experiences.”
