Alex Eagles collecting supplies for tornado victims

ALEXANDRIA, Ind. — The Alexandria Eagles Lodge 1771 is collecting supplies to help the victims of a Sunday tornado that hit Moore, Okla., leaving potentially more than $1 billion in damages.

The lodge sent one semi-truck full of food and other goods Tuesday. When the truck gets back later this week, the Eagles will load it up again and make a second trip.

The lodge has mobilized to help natural disaster victims in the past.

In January, members lugged supplies to flood victims in Arkansas. In March 2012, they went to Henryville, Ind., where an EF-4 tornado leveled much of the town.

To donate money or supplies for Moore, Okla., contact the Alexandria Eagles lodge at 623-1609 or 724-7320.
