Investigators still looking into ambulance theft

ANDERSON, Ind. — One of the most unusual crimes of 2013 is still under investigation.

Joseph L. Sandlin is still in custody after allegedly absconding with an Anderson Fire Department ambulance and going on a property-damage rampage.

In a story in Thursday’s paper, The Herald Bulletin will examine how much damage was caused in the incident, who’s financially liable and why the ambulance was accessible.
