MUNCIE, Ind. — Ball State, Muncie and Indiana State police are responding to Ball State University's campus in Muncie after a report of a person with a gun.

Dispatch traffic has been sure to stress to those on the scene that it is not an active shooter situation, but that it is a perceived threat and they are searching the area.

According to dispatch traffic, a male was reportedly heard by a staff member in the Human Performance Lab Building screaming "Gun! Gun! Gun!" and then heard a third floor door slam. At that point, the staff member locked herself into an office.

No shots have been reported.
