Man loses leg when struck by train

ANDERSON, Ind. — A man lost his leg Saturday when he was struck by a train near Main and Fletcher streets in downtown Anderson.

The incident occurred at around 12:23 p.m.

Officials say a medical helicopter was called to the scene to take the victim to an Indianapolis hospital. The man’s condition was not immediately available.
