Central Indiana jail escape recaptured nearby

MARTINSVILLE, Ind. — A central Indiana jail escape who fled while working outside has been recaptured.

Blair Wolfe, 32, was recaptured in Hendricks County on Saturday, one day after walking away from the Morgan County Jail in Martinsville. Authorities say Wolfe was a trusty and was picking up trash outside the jail's fence on Friday afternoon when he walked away.

Morgan County Sheriff Robert Downey say officers tracked Wolfe to his father's house in Plainfield. When officers arrived, Wolfe took off running into a wooded area but was captured.

He was in jail on a theft charge. The Sheriff's Department says he'll now face an escape charge and a possible additional five years of jail time.
