JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. — An investigator says one of the two people found shot to death in a southern Indiana home had set the house ablaze.
The News and Tribune and WDRB-TV quote Jeffersonville Police Detective Todd Hollis as saying the positioning of the bodies in the home's bathroom and evidence there of accelerants to fuel the fire eliminated the possibility of a third person setting the fire.
Firefighters found the bodies of 26-year-old year-old Morgan Julius and 27-year-old Courtney Grimm while fighting the blaze Saturday.
Clark County Coroner Terry Conway says autopsy results showed both died of gunshot wounds.
Hollis says the two victims had been a couple for less than a year. He says both families are distraught and in shock.
