INDIANAPOLIS — The governor's residence in Indianapolis will hand out treats to trick-or-treaters on Friday, but Gov. Mike Pence and first lady Karen Pence might not be there.
The state's first couple were prepared to hand out treats themselves on Halloween, but when the city of Indianapolis postponed trick-or-treating to Friday night because of predicted stormy weather on Thursday, Pence's staff said it was pushing back trick-or-treating at the residence to Friday.
Pence spokeswoman Christy Denault said Wednesday the Pences might not be home Friday evening to hand out treats because of possible scheduling conflicts.
Before trick-or-treating was postponed, the governor planned to wear an Indianapolis Colts football uniform while the first lady would have been dressed as an Indiana Fever women's basketball player.
