Buckles marks 15th business anniversary

ANDERSON — Judy Buckles, Anderson, an area representative for the Newton Manufacturing Company of Newton, Iowa, has marked her 15th anniversary with the company selling promotional products.

Dawana Felty earns promotion

SCORE to present workshop series

ANDERSON — SCORE “Counselors to America’s Small Business” will present a series of five free informational workshops to help entrepreneurs develop their own business strategy. The workshops will be presented 6:30-8:30 p.m. each Monday in November and will include the topics “Keys to Starting Your Own Business” (Nov. 2), “Biz Vision and Plan” (Nov. 9), “Marketing with a Customer Focus” (Nov. 16), start-up funding (Nov. 23) and Small Business Association loans (Nov. 30).

The workshops will be held at the Flagship Enterprise Center, 2701 Enterprise Drive. Reservations are required by calling 642-0264 or e-mailing postmaster @scoreanderson.org.

Local insurance agent recognized

NOBLESVILLE — Tim Gernand, an American Family Insurance agent in Noblesville, has been recognized for customer satisfaction excellence under the J.D. Power and Associates Distinguished Insurance Agency Program. He joins other American Family agents who have demonstrated commitment to customer service.

Young professionals group has first meeting

ANDERSON — The Madison County Young Professionals Group met Oct. 8 in its first meeting in a continued series of monthly forums designed to create opportunities for young professionals in Anderson and Madison County to network and develop professionally and personally. In attendance were a diverse group of professionals, including business owners, CEOs, marketing directors, stylists, job seekers, students and more.
