Restaurant open as sale falls through

ANDERSON — Terms regarding the sale of a local pizza business were unable to be arranged, according to two people involved with the potential sale.

Karen Dimirsky, who owns Columbus Avenue Pizza, 5436 Columbus Ave., said the transition of ownership to Mike Cravens did not go through as planned.

Cravens was running the business in January and had planned to finalize his purchase in February, but his bid was not successful, Dimirsky said. She said she has reclaimed the business and there were no interruptions to the restaurant services or its customers during the transition.

“We are still open for business, we are going to keep the video games and we will be running daily specials,” Dimirsky said.

She said reservations for private parties can be made and anyone with questions can call Columbus Avenue Pizza for more information.

When contacted, Cravens confirmed that he is no longer buying Columbus Avenue Pizza.
