AMCAR raises money for Christian Center

ANDERSON — The Anderson/Madison County Association of Realtors recently held a fundraiser for the Christian Center. Members of AMCAR served The Christian Center residents and sold tickets for a Captain D’s fish fry held at The Christian Center.

Because of the generosity of Troy Knight, owner of Captain D’s, and Chuck Huffman of Big Joe’s Event Services, all proceeds from the ticket sales were presented to Neal Kirby, Director of the Christian Center. AMCAR presented a check for $1,195.00 to The Christian Center at the recent luncheon.

Leadership training workshop planned

MUNCIE —  The Shafer Leadership Academy (SLA), East Central Indiana’s Community Leadership Academy, will host a leadership training workshop entitled “All Aboard: Board Leadership in Motion” from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 11.

A second opportunity to attend the workshop will occur this fall.

The registration deadline for All Aboard: Board Leadership in Motion is Friday, May 31. The workshop will take place at the Innovation Connector,  1208 W. White River Blvd., Muncie.

Standard tuition for the workshop is $35 and $25 for Shafer Leadership Academy Alumni, as well as, $25 for members of the Muncie Young Professionals group.
