Applebee’s supports cancer foundation

ANDERSON — In the summer of 2000, the idea behind Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation was born when 4-year-old cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott set up a front yard lemonade stand to raise funds and awareness for childhood cancer cures.

This month, Anderson’s Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar will support Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for the 10th straight year. With more than $4 million raised since 2005, more than 850 Applebee’s restaurants nationwide will work toward topping the $5 million mark in 2014.
