---- — ANDERSON — On Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Madison County Habitat for Humanity members plan to work with more than 30 Comcast employees, families and friends to beautify the grounds and participate in light interior remodeling.

Several nonprofit organizations in the communities Comcast serves throughout Indiana will benefit from the efforts of more than 1,500 Comcast volunteers this week, culminating with the 13th annual Comcast Cares Day on Saturday.

Comcast Cares Day, which takes place during National Volunteer Month, is Comcast and NBCUniversal’s signature day of service. This year the company expects more than 80,000 volunteers to participate in over 700 projects around the globe. To date, more than half a million volunteers have contributed more than 3 million volunteer hours since Comcast Cares Day started in 2001, according to a press release from the company.
