Business Profile: Providing a cure for vehicle collisions

Owners say success is due to hard work and hard-working employees

ANDERSON — When Rick and Lynn Fields first opened Collision Cure Body Werks in Anderson, their plan was to take the hassle out of the vehicle repair process.

Eleven years and four additional locations later, the Fieldses say they have accomplished what they set out to do.

“We are currently doing $12 million in sales each year," Rick Fields said. "Eleven years ago we started with a mustard seed of hope and we believe that all things are possible.”

Collision Cure Body Werks, 1301 E. 60th St., opened its first location in Anderson on Jan. 1, 2003. The company now has five sites including Kokomo, Muncie, Westfield and Marion, with a sixth store opening soon in Fishers.

“The Anderson community and Madison County has supported us so well, we would not have been able to grow without this solid base of customers,” Fields said. “We are thankful for the Anderson location and it remains our home base.”

Fields, who was forced to travel while working for a collision repair group, decided to open his own collision repair business in order to be closer to his family in Pendleton.

“We love fixing damaged vehicles because there are immediate rewards to seeing a damaged vehicle get completed and back to the customer,” he said. “No one is happy they were in an accident, so it so awesome to be a part of restoring the customer’s peace of mind as well.”

Part of the company’s success, Lynn Fields said, is not just from the business partnerships they have formed over the years, but the hard-working employees they have hired.

The company provides automotive collision repair, and it also provides minor mechanical services, taking pride in both the timeliness and quality of its work, Rick Fields said.

“We make mistakes, but we work hard to correct those and step up and admit when we fall short,” he said. “We have an outside customer satisfaction survey company that contacts the customer about their experience. We stay right in the 97 to 98 percent satisfaction range.
