Silhouettes Boutique provides post-mastectomy items

The Herald Bulletin

---- — ANDERSON — The Center for Wellness Medicine, 1931 Brown St., has opened Silhouettes Boutique, a specialty store for women who have undergone a mastectomy and/or breast reconstruction.

The public is invited to an open house on Dec. 4 from noon to 4 p.m. There will be special discounts. Register to win a gift card provided by TruLife.

Silhouettes Boutique specializes in surgical compression bras, breast forms and a variety of prostheses.

A key resource for women at Silhouettes Boutique is Cathy Bryan, a nurse who has been specially trained to assist women in selecting a bra that fits well, is comfortable and in line with the recommendations of their surgeon.

“My medical background enables me to be an added resource to women recovering from cancer treatment or breast reconstruction,” Bryan said.

Silhouettes is located in a private suite within the Center for Wellness Medicine. It’s a feminine, private boutique-style atmosphere in which to shop. It carries items from leading manufactures, such as ABC, Amoena and TruLife.

To better serve patients and customers, appointments for fittings are preferred. Bryan is available at 646-8247.
