Federal official to present Affordable Care Act program

ANDERSON — A presentation on the Affordable Care Act has been set for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Anderson Public Library. 111 E. 12th St. The session is open to the public.

The event is co-sponsored by state Sen. Tim Lanane, state Rep. Terri Austin, the Madison County United Way and PlusOne, LLC.

Kathleen Falk, Region V director for U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will be making the presentation.

Falk, who works in Chicago, was appointed regional director in September. Most recently, she served for 14 years as the highest ranking elected official in Dane County, the second largest county in Wisconsin.

Her presentation Wednesday will include:

u Sharing current information about the ACA and promoting enrollment opportunities for Madison County residents.

u Distributing information about enrollment assistance.

u Dispelling some of the misinformation about the ACA.

u Encouraging people to reach out to several Madison County ACA enrollment sites for further information/questions.

The session is free to the public.
