Courtyard Apartments offers free cellphones

ANDERSON — Courtyard Apartments has teamed up with Life Wireless and will be giving away free cellphones with free minutes and text plans on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

No purchase is necessary and you do not need to be a resident.

To qualify for a free phone a person must receive one or more of the following benefits: SSI, Section 8, school lunch plan, food stamps or EBT card etc. Anyone not currently receiving (or eligible to receive them) and making more than 135 percent of the federal poverty income level can receive phones and plans at a very low reduced rate, according to a press release from project manager Talor Stewart.

Stewart said this partnership will provide value and service to both the Courtyard residents and members of the surrounding community who are welcome to come and get a phone.

For more information or questions, call the Courtyard leasing office at 644-0091.
