Luck Watch

Working mainly in the red zone and at the goal line, Andrew Luck was as accurate as he’s been at any point during this year’s training camp.

The second-year quarterback had a string of 14 completions in a row at one point and finished a stunning 23-for-29 with three touchdowns. It was also just the second day of camp in which Luck was not intercepted.

Two of his three touchdown throws went to veteran Reggie Wayne. The third was to second-year tight end Dwayne Allen.

Wayne said he’d have to watch the film before knowing whether this was Luck’s sharpest practice of camp so far.

“We know it’s still the first week of camp,” he said. “We’re still kind of getting those growing pains out of the way. Each day is going to get better and better, as we all will be. Hopefully, we can just continue to grow and get better together.”
