ANDERSON, Ind. —
As the end of the Anderson University portion of training camp nears, the Indianapolis Colts are getting healthier on defense.
Inside linebacker Jerrell Freeman returned to the practice field Tuesday afternoon, and he said he’s full-go now after recovering from a shoulder injury. Safety Joe Lefeged also returned at this morning’s walkthrough, giving the Colts six healthy safeties after playing the Buffalo preseason game with just three.
The team has just three practices remaining following today’s afternoon practice at 1:50 p.m.
But there’s no sign of letting up.
Asked what he hopes to get out of these final few days, Freeman answered with just a single word.
“Work,” he said.
Indianapolis breaks camp at AU on Friday and plays a preseason game at the New York Giants on Sunday.
Preseason work resumes next week at the team’s year-round facility in Indianapolis.
