Defense ready to go
It’s a simple mantra for a defense at any level of football. “Get to the ball. Get to the ball. Get to the ball.” It’s a simple philosophy that is at the heart of the Indianapolis Colts’ defensive concepts.
Painter set to make 1st start in 3 years
The last time a quarterback not named Peyton Manning started any game — preseason or regular season — for the Indianapolis Colts was 2008, when Manning missed the entire preseason after undergoing knee surgery to remove an inflamed bursa sack. Beekman latest to join up
In the mid 1990s, the Indianapolis Colts brought in Bill Tobin to be the team’s general manager. Prior to joining the Colts, Tobin held the same position in the front office of the Chicago Bears. That pipeline seems to be alive an thriving as the Colts have three ex-Bears on their roster.

Nobody has to tell the Indianapolis Colts or their fans how disruptive injuries can be in training camp. Miller weighs in on Peyton
Jim Miller had more than his fair share of injuries during his 12 years in the NFL.
So he speaks from authority when it comes to Colts quarterback Peyton Manning’s current situation. The four-time league MVP is on the physically unable to perform list while recovering from offseason neck surgery.
That means he can’t practice with his teammates, but Miller said the downtime might just work in Manning’s favor.
