When life throws us a curve, when someone we love dies, when we are jobless, hopeless, helpless, and spiritless, we feel like we are in the gloomiest, darkest, cloudiest of times. But it is there -- in the clouds -- where we meet God. He’s still leading and guiding and protecting. The thing is, we can’t “see” Him in the clouds, and we need to walk solely by faith, listening and looking only for God.
Who is with us in our clouds? What influences us when we’re in the clouds? Whose voice do we listen to in the middle of the clouds? Until we allow no other than Jesus and His voice in our clouds, it will only get darker and darker. We need to get to the place Peter, James and John came to after seeing Jesus and Elijah and Moses.
Mark 9:8 says, “Suddenly, when they looked around, they no longer saw anyone with them except Jesus.” Wow! No one but Jesus. Bring on the clouds!
