When I am afraid, I know I can go to my Father and ask of Him, "Keep me safe, O God, for in You I take refuge," (Psalm 16:1). I can pray the words of Psalm 27:4-5: "One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple. For in the day of trouble, He will keep me safe in His dwelling; He will hide me in the shelter of His tabernacle and set me high upon a rock."
Yes, I am living in God's keep, a safe place where I am protected by His promises. God's keep is the place He keeps those who keep His commands, those who love Him with all their hearts, with all their souls, with all their strength. I know that if I keep loving God, He will keep doing as He promised in Psalm 17:8: "Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings."
Being kept safe and precious and loved by God is a good place to be kept, don't you think?
