Verna Davis: With no apologies, sometimes we must speak up

(Continued)

When we hear people say they know they are going to heaven based solely on the fact that they are good people, it's time to speak up. And when we know people are confident they are going to heaven because they are waiting until the last possible moment to "convert" to Christ, it's time to speak up. And when a world-renowned religious leader says, "You don't have to believe in God to go to heaven," it's time to speak up. We should speak the truthful words of Jesus found in John 14:6: "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Jesus is Jesus, and there is no other way to the Father except through Him. Truth is truth, and it is found in no other except Jesus. I know these statements are not politically correct. I know that just by believing these statements to be true, we invite ridicule and arguments and even outright rejection.

Even so, we need to speak up. It's time, don't you think?

Now that Andrew Luck is getting ready to start the third year of his NFL career, did the Colts make the right decision to release Peyton Manning and turn the offense over to Luck?

Yes, the future is bright.
No, the Colts would have won another Super Bowl by now if they had kept Manning.
Don't know; don't care
