ALEXANDRIA, Ind. —
ALEXANDRIA — A man led law enforcement on a chase that began on the road about 8:20 p.m. and ended on foot.
An Alexandria police officer in the vehicle chase reported speeds of 90 mph at one point. After the suspect crashed his vehicle, Madison County Sheriff Ron Richardson said, a foot pursuit occurred in the area of 300 West and 1100 North near Alexandria.
The Sheriff's Department assisted Alexandria police.
While authorities searched with K-9s, the Madison County Emergency Management Agency was called in to assist in the shutdown of westbound traffic at 200 West and 1100 North and eastbound traffic at 300 West and 1100 North.
At 10 p.m., Richardson said the man had been arrested. His name was not released.
