ANDERSON -- A string of burglaries in central Madison County were connected, and an Anderson man has been tied to them, police said Wednesday.
Deputies from the Madison County Sheriff’s Department arrested Ryan D. Pantzar, 24, late Tuesday night on four counts of burglary, which are Class B felonies, four counts of theft, which are Class D felonies, and an unrelated traffic warrant.
Maj. Brian Bell said the burglaries began July 22 and occurred near Indiana 32 near county roads 500 West and 600 West.
The sheriff’s department received “numerous reports,” he said, that were linked to Pantzar. As of Wednesday evening, Pantzar was being held on a $20,000 bond in the Madison County Jail.
Sheriff’s investigators requested a 72-hour extension with the prosecutor’s office to complete a formal investigation before formal charges are filed.
