Noblesville man hospitalized, could face DWI charge after one-car crash near Anderson

ANDERSON — A Noblesville man who was hospitalized after a Thursday night single-car crash in Madison County could face a drunken driving charge.

According to Madison County Sheriff Ron Richardson, Billy Jackson, 55, was driving south near the 9500 block of West 280 North near Anderson about 7 p.m. when the accident occurred. He had one passenger in the car with him, Michelle Jackson, 50.

Billy Jackson reportedly lost control of the Dodge Challenger and struck a boulder head-on, causing the car to flip. The car landed right-side-up after flipping.

Richardson said Billy Jackson registered 0.214 blood-alcohol content at the scene of the crash. A BAC of 0.08 or more is illegal for motorists in Indiana.

Billy Jackson was transported to Riverview Hospital in Noblesville after complaining of pain in his head, neck and back. Richardson said Michelle Jackson did not report injuries at the scene.

According to Richardson, Billy Jackson could face arrest for driving while intoxicated resulting in bodily injury when he gets out of the hospital.
