Arrest Log

Arrests made by Madison County law enforcement on Saturday and Sunday, based on Madison County Jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers, but are not final until the Madison County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Madison County deputies arrested Dewey A. Bennett, 61, of the 300 block of Layton Road, at 4:10 p.m. Saturday on a Class A misdemeanor charge of domestic battery.

Madison County deputies arrested Carlos M. Chavez, 46, Fishers, at 5:12 p.m. Saturday on a court commitment.

Anderson police arrested Ashley A. Smith, 35, of the 100 block of East School Street, at 8:04 p.m. Saturday on a Class A misdemeanor charge of conversion.

Elwood police arrested Deborah L. Goodman, 45, Elwood, at 8:12 p.m. Saturday on a Class B misdemeanor charge of public intoxication and a Class B misdemeanor charge of glue sniffing.

Anderson police arrested Cheryl L. Beckett, 38, of the 4300 block of Brenda Drive, at 9:22 p.m. Saturday for a probation violation and failure to appear.

Anderson police arrested Cleopatra G. Love, 38, of the 1300 block of Monticello Drive, at 10:05 p.m., on a hold for another jurisdiction.

Madison County deputies arrested Ricky J. Ryder, 56, Alexandria, at 10:17 p.m. Saturday on a Class A misdemeanor charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Anderson police arrested Brian L. Smith, 30, of the 1600 block of Jefferson Street, at 1:29 a.m. Sunday, on a contempt of court (child support), contempt of court, and failure to return to lawful detention.

Elwood police arrested William K. Farr, 29, Elwood, at 4:17 a.m. Sunday, on a Class B felony charge of manufacturing methamphetamine, Class C felony charge of neglect of a dependent, Class D felony charge of maintaining a common nuisance, Class D felony charge of possession or use of a legend drug or precursor, and a probation violation.

Anderson police arrested Daniel J. Burns, 54, North Webster, at 4:33 a.m. Sunday, on a hold for another jurisdiction.
