The Herald Bulletin

---- — FRANKTON — An early morning fire destroyed a vacant house, said Frankton Fire Chief Brandon Leisure.

“The house was a total loss,” Leisure said. “No one was injured.”

Leisure said the call came in around 4:30 a.m. for the one-story modular structure in the 7300 block of West County Road 400 North.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, Leisure said. He estimated the damage to be about $80,000.

Mutual aid from Pipe Creek Township, Lapel, Richland Township and Edgewood volunteer departments was used to help fight the fire, which was reported under control at 6:25 a.m.
