---- — ANDERSON — Police are still looking for two robbers, one of whom fired a gunshot during an armed robbery at a liquor store on Tuesday.

According to Anderson Police Department spokesman Joel Sandefur, at about 9 p.m. Tuesday, the two men walked into the Keg-N-Bottle liquor store on Meridian Street near 17th Street. Both were dressed in black from head to toe and wore Halloween masks. Witnesses said they couldn’t determine the race of the two men.

At least one of the men had a gun, and he fired a shot into a wall at the store as the men demanded money from a clerk. The men took an undisclosed amount of money and left. Witnesses were unable to provide police with any other clues.

The Herald Bulletin originally reported one of the men had been arrested. The man taken into custody Tuesday night was arrested on an unrelated matter.

Sandefur encouraged anyone with information about the incident to call APD Crimestoppers at 649-8310.
