Arrests made by Madison County law enforcement on Sunday and Monday, based on Madison County Jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers, but are not final until the Madison County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.
Madison County sheriff’s deputies arrested Douglas A. Bergfeld, 54, of the 9700 block of East 25th Street, Indianapolis, at 8:54 a.m. Sunday. Bond was set at $10,000 on a charge of Class D felony operating a vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance.
Ingalls police arrested James R. Elliott, 44, of the 500 block of Pratt Street, Greenfield, at 1:41 p.m. Sunday. Elliott posted a $10,000 bail bond on Class A misdemeanors operating a vehicle while intoxicated and endangering a person while operating a vehicle intoxicated, and Class C misdemeanor operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Madison County sheriff’s deputies arrested Canasius W. Evans, 23, of the 100 block of West School Street, Anderson, at 10:29 a.m. Sunday. No bond was set on a charge of Class A misdemeanor battery with no or minor injury.
Madison County sheriff’s deputies arrested Alexis J. King, 22, of the 1600 block of Chase Street, Anderson, at 3:05 p.m. Sunday. Bond was set at $5,000 on a charge of Class A misdemeanor operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Anderson police arrested Robert D. Sheets, 33, of the 1900 block of South M Street, Elwood, at 8:35 p.m. Sunday. Bond was set at $20,000 on charges of Class B felony manufacturing meth, Class D felony possession of meth and Class D felony possession of precursors.
Pendleton police arrested Nathan T. Marshall, 50, of the 400 block of East Water Street, Pendleton, at 1:37 a.m. Monday. Bond was set at $5,000 on a charge of Class D felony theft.
