Arrest log: March 27

Arrests made by Madison County law enforcement on Monday and Tuesday, based on Madison County Jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers, but are not final until the Madison County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Anderson police arrested Lamont D. Smith, 34, of the 1500 block of West 10th Street, Anderson, at 1:11 p.m. Monday. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class D felony neglect of a dependent and Class D felony parole violation.

Anderson police arrested Jeffrey R. Kidd, 22, of the 1800 block of Fairview Street, Anderson, at 3:03 p.m. Monday. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class A misdemeanor failure to appear.

Anderson police arrested Lamarcus A. Byrd, 28, of the 100 block of West Division Avenue, Grand Rapids, Michigan, at 3:15 p.m. Monday. No bond was set for a Class D felony in another jurisdiction.

Anderson police arrested Marven D. Lemock, 30, of the 1200 block Sycamore Street, Anderson, at 5:25 p.m. Monday. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class D felony domestic battery, Class D felony criminal confinement and Class D felony strangulation.

Elwood police arrested Lawrence P. Chestnut, 47, of the 2200 block of South B Street, Elwood, at 5:59 p.m. Monday. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class A misdemeanor domestic battery.

Anderson police arrested Billy J. Kendall, 54, of the 400 block of South Prospect Street, Summitville, at 9:57 p.m. Monday. No bond was set for Class A misdemeanor conversion and Class B misdemeanor criminal mischief.

Anderson police arrested Jonathan T. Usry, 33, of the 400 block of Enchanted Drive, Anderson, at 10 p.m. Monday. No bond was set for Class A misdemeanor invasion of privacy and Class A misdemeanor violation of probation.

Elwood police arrested Andrew D. Rushing, 29, of the 1300 block of South L Street, Elwood, at 1:36 a.m. Tuesday. Bond was set at $10,000 for Class C felony robbery, Class D felony theft, Class D felony possession of a controlled substance, Class D felony possession of a syringe, Class A misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia and Class A misdemeanor battery.

Madison County police arrested George E. Skeen Jr., 47, of the 1600 block of Morton Street, Anderson, at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday. Bond was set at $20,000 for Class B felony manufacturing meth, Class D felony maintaining a common nuisance and Class D felony possession of chemical precursors.

Madison County police arrested Celestino Jimenez Cortes, 23, of the 3900 block of East State Road 232, Anderson, at 5:06 a.m. Tuesday. Jimenez Cortes posted bail of $5,000 for Class D felony animals for fighting contests, Class D felony animal fighting contest and Class D felony promoting an animal fighting contest.

Anderson police arrested Dustin S. Arms, 19, of the 2200 block of North County Road 300 West, Anderson, at 5:09 a.m. Tuesday. Bond was set at $10,000 for Class C felony burglary and Class D felony theft.

Anderson police arrested Gregory S. Steffler, 35, of the 2200 block of West 28th Street, Anderson, at 6:27 a.m. Tuesday. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class A misdemeanor operating while intoxicated.
