Arrest log: April 23

Arrests made by Madison County law enforcement on Sunday and Monday, based on Madison County Jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers, but are not final until the Madison County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

  • Elwood police arrested Thomas J. Wilkey, 33, of the 1600 block of South L Street, Elwood, at 1:59 p.m. Sunday. Bond was set at $5,000 on a Class A misdemeanor charge of domestic battery.
  • Anderson police arrested Jeremy R. Blair, 20, of the 1600 block of West Ninth Street, Anderson, at 5:52 p.m. Sunday. Bond was set at $5,000 on a Class D felony charge of intimidation.
  • Anderson police arrested Monica D. Campbell, 31, of the 2700 block of East Sixth Street, Anderson, at 6:53 p.m. Sunday. Campbell posted $5,000 bond on a Class D felony charge of possession of a controlled substance.
  • Anderson police arrested Andrew B. Steen, 47, of the 1700 block of West 24th Street, Anderson, at 10:06 p.m. Sunday. Steen posted $15,000 bond on two Class D felony charges of domestic battery and possession of a controlled substance smoking instrument and a Class A misdemeanor charge of interference with reporting a crime.
  • The Madison County Sheriff’s Department arrested Christina G. Linville, 52, of the 1400 block of Harris Street, Richmond, at 8:04 a.m. Monday. Linville posted $10,000 bond on a Class A misdemeanor charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
  • Police arrested Paul O. Hanson, 44, of the 800 block of Joseph Drive, Knoxville, Tenn., at 9:41 a.m. Monday. Hanson posted $8,000 bond on a Class A misdemeanor charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
  • The Madison County Sheriff’s Department arrested Benjamin E. Briggs, 31, of the 800 block of West 12th Street, Anderson, at 10:37 a.m. Monday. Briggs posted $5,000 bond on a Class D felony charge of attempted theft.

  • Election board looking into voter fraud allegation The Madison County Election Board delayed a decision into allegations of voter fraud in the May primary until it can gather additional information. Brian Bell, who lost the Democratic Party‚Äôs nomination for sheriff by 48 votes to Scott Mellinger, raised allegations to the election board during a hearing Friday.
