ANDERSON, Ind. —
A juvenile shot in the leg during a party early Sunday morning was treated and released, according to the Anderson Police Department.
APD spokesman Sgt. Bill Casey said the shooting occurred at an abandoned factory building in the 1100 block of West 16th Street around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
According to witnesses, the teenage boy received his injury when gunfire was opened among a crowd gathered in the building.
The boy was transported to and released from St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.
His injury was a through and through, missing any bone or major arteries, Casey said.
He added that police had yet to receive a description of the shooter and, as of Sunday evening, had no suspects.
