ANDERSON, Ind. — Anderson police are investigating an early-morning shooting in the area of 37th Street and Haverhill Drive.
According to initial police radio traffic, the victim called 911 about 12:30 a.m. Thursday to report he had been shot in the abdomen. Police said the man was conscious and walking around when they arrived. Fire Department paramedics took him to St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. A report on his condition was not immediately available.
The man gave police a description of the shooter. At 1 a.m., police were continuing their search in the Meadowbrook neighborhood for the suspect, described as a white male, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and wearing an orange hoodie.
