Arrest Log: Oct. 25

Arrests made by Madison County law enforcement on Wednesday and Thursday, based on Madison County Jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers, but are not final until the Madison County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Police arrested Charles R. Riley II, 27, of the 4600 block of West State Road 32, Anderson, at 11:36 a.m. Wednesday. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class D felony habitual traffic offender.

Police arrested Joshua M. Elliot, 35, of the 4600 block of Aquaduct Drive, Greenwood, at 1:05 p.m. Wednesday. Bond was set at $1,500 for Class D felony receiving stolen property.

Anderson police arrested Jeremy J. Stafford, 35, of the 1000 block of West First Street, Anderson, at 4:48 p.m. Wednesday. No bond was set for Class A misdemeanor violation of probation and Class A misdemeanor failure to appear.

Madison County deputies arrested Jerry E. Johnson, 46, of the 800 block of West Jefferson Street, Alexandria, at 5:36 p.m. Wednesday. Bond was set at $4,000 for Class D felony hold for other jurisdiction, Class B misdemeanor leaving accident scene and Class A misdemeanor resisting law enforcement.

Madison County deputies arrested Jeffrey C. Newte, 37, of the 200 block of West Seventh Street, Anderson, at 5:56 p.m. Wednesday. No bond was set for Class D felony return to county jail per court order.

Madison County deputies arrested David L. Hedgecraft II, 24, of the 200 block of East 1100 North, Alexandria, at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. No bond was set for Class A misdemeanor return to county jail per court order.

Madison County deputies arrested Rodney E. Hedgecraft, 43, of the 500 block of West Fifth Street, Anderson, at 6:41 p.m. Wednesday. No bond was set for Class A misdemeanor violation of probation.

Anderson police arrested Justin W. Hughes, 32, of the 4000 block of Ridge Road, Anderson, at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class A misdemeanor conversion.

Anderson police arrested Amanda S. Smith, 33, of the 1800 block of Pearl Street, Anderson, at 10:54 p.m. Wednesday. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class A misdemeanor conversion.
