Arrest Log

Arrests made by Madison County law enforcement on Wednesday and Thursday, based on Madison County Jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers, but are not final until the Madison County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

• Anderson police arrested Javonna A. Nunn, 24, of the 1700 block of West 12th Street, Anderson, at 12:23 p.m. Wednesday. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class B misdemeanor leaving the scene of an accident and Class D felony auto theft.

• Anderson police arrested Tamara L. Steele, 24, of the 2300 block of Pitt Street, Anderson, at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday. No bond was set for Class A misdemeanor battery.

• Anderson police arrested Brittney L. Gladney, 25, of the 3500 block of Alexandria Pike, Anderson, at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday. No bond was set for court commitment on a Class D felony.

• Madison County deputies arrested Cory E. C. Mahaffey, 36, of the 1800 block of East 38th Street, Anderson, at 2:22 p.m. Wednesday. Bond was set at $10,000 for Class A misdemeanor false informing, Class B misdemeanor battery and Class C felony battery.

• Anderson police arrested Christopher D. Wilson, 30, of the 1200 block of Nichol Avenue, Anderson, at 2:23 p.m. Wednesday. Bond was set at $5,500 for contempt of court in a civil case, Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana and Level 6 felony maintaining a common nuisance.

• Anderson police arrested Peggie A. Nance, 23, of the 2700 block of West 18th Street, Anderson, at 4:12 p.m. Wednesday. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class A misdemeanor driving while suspended and Class A misdemeanor false informing.

• Anderson police arrested Audrey D. Morgan, 49, of the 2700 block of West 18th Street, Anderson, at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday. Bond was set at $500 for contempt of court in a civil case.

• Anderson police arrested Emilio B. Dimas, 21, of the 2200 block of East Lynn Street, Anderson, at 5:04 p.m. Wednesday. No bond was set for violation of probation on a Class D felony.

Brian Bell, who lost the Democratic Party’s nomination for sheriff by 48 votes to Scott Mellinger, raised allegations to the election board during a hearing Friday.
