Mother, baby OK after car hits deer

ALEXANDRIA, Ind. — Police in Alexandria are en route to a single-vehicle accident involving a mother and her four-month old baby.

According to police scanner traffic, the accident occurred on County Road 200 East just north of 1300 North, when a car struck a deer at around 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Both are conscious and appear to have only minor injuries. The baby was in a car seat.
