GREENFIELD, Ind. — Central Indiana authorities are holding a woman in connection with the fatal shooting of her husband but are revealing few details about the case.
The Hancock County Sheriff's Department says 55-year-old Elizabeth Roberts of Greenfield was being held Sunday at the Hancock County Jail in connection with the slaying of her husband, 57-year-old Gary Roberts, on Friday afternoon.
Capt. Jeff Rasche said that investigators are looking at a number of issues in the case but he would not comment on what triggered the shooting or whether it was in self-defense.
Rasche says Gary Roberts had made threats of hurting himself and was dependent on prescription drugs and alcohol.
It wasn't known Sunday if Elizabeth Roberts has an attorney.
