Arrest log: May 7

Arrests made by Madison County law enforcement on Sunday and Monday, based on Madison County Jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers, but are not final until the Madison County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

  • Elwood police arrested Robert L. Sosbe, 40, of the 3300 block of South Memorial Drive, Elwood, at 4:51 p.m. Sunday. Sosbe posted a $5,000 bail bond on charges of Class A misdemeanor operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person and Class A misdemeanor operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
  • Anderson police arrested Christopher T.M. Irwin, 19, of the 1200 block of West Second Street, Anderson, at 7:56 p.m. Sunday. Bond was set at $4,000 on a charge of Class A misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
  • Madison County sheriff’s deputies arrested Ryan C. Wheat, 20, of the 10 block of West Eighth Street, Anderson, at 8:41 p.m. Sunday. Bond was set at $3,000 on charges of Class A misdemeanor illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and Class A misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
  • Madison County sheriff’s deputies arrested Samuel A. Hunter, 35, of the 1300 block of South G Street, Elwood, at 10:12 p.m. Sunday. Bond was set at $5,000 on charges of Class D felony possession of marijuana, Class D felony possession of a controlled substance and Class D felony parole violation.
  • Anderson police arrested Brandon E. Taliaferro, 22, of the 400 block of Hawthorne Avenue, Anderson, at 2:22 a.m. Monday. Bond was set at $5,000 on charges of Class D felony residential entry and Class A misdemeanor domestic battery.
  • Anderson police arrested Danny L. Butler, 40, of the 2300 block of North A Street, Elwood, at 2:34 a.m. Monday. Bond was set at $5,000 on charges of Class A misdemeanor domestic battery, Class D felony battery with no injury to a law enforcement officer, Class A misdemeanor resisting law enforcement and Class B misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
  • Anderson police arrested Kean A. Short, 20, of the 8200 block of Wysong Drive, Indianapolis, at 6:09 a.m. Monday. No bond was set on charges of Class A misdemeanor resisting law enforcement and Class D felony probation violation.
