ANDERSON, Ind. —
Thursday night, Kelvin R. Jackson thought he’d hit Pizza King for some takeout.
But he wasn’t craving pizza so much as the money in the cash register, police say.
At 8:50 p.m. Jackson, 40, entered the store at 2424 Nichol Avenue and handed an employee a note that read “Give me the money, I have a gun,” said Anderson Police Lt. Paul Boulware.
The cashier handed over the money and Jackson fled.
Police tracked him down in the 1600 block of Halford Street, where he was hiding in a vacant garage. Jackson was charged with Class C felony robbery and Class A misdemeanor resisting law enforcement.
