Arrest Log: Oct. 24

Arrests made by Madison County law enforcement on Tuesday, based on Madison County Jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers, but are not final until the Madison County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Elwood police arrested Michael A. Closser, 61, of the 1400 block of South Anderson Street, Elwood, at 9:13 a.m. Tuesday. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class A misdemeanor resisting law enforcement and Class B misdemeanor refusal to identify.

Alexandria police arrested Phillip M. Snyder Jr., 38, of the 200 block of East Second Street, Alexandria, at 1:51 p.m. Tuesday. Bond was set at $5,000 for Class A misdemeanor conversion.

Madison County police arrested John R. Wilson, 31, of the 1100 block of Emerson Drive, Anderson, at 5:55 p.m. Tuesday. No bond was set for failure to appear on a Class D felony.

Anderson police arrested Nathan Gasparet, 25, of the 2500 block of Brown Street, Anderson, at 6:39 p.m. Tuesday. No bond was set for Class A misdemeanor public intoxication.

Anderson police arrested Matthew A. West, 26, of the 200 block of Andover Road, Anderson, at 9:58 p.m. Tuesday. No bond was set for Class A misdemeanor battery.

Madison County police arrested Zechariah L. Simmons, 20, of the 1900 block of Norwood Way, Anderson, at 9:59 p.m. Tuesday. Bond was set at $505 for failure to appear on a Class A misdemeanor.

Madison County police arrested Billy J. Kendall, 55, of the 400 block of South Prospect Street, Summitville, at 10:34 p.m. Tuesday. Bond was set at $500 for failure to appear on a civil case.

Elwood police arrested Leslie T. Todd, 51, of the 3900 block of East Williams Street, Decatur, Illinois, at 10:49 p.m. Tuesday Bond was set at $60,000 for Class B felony rape.

Anderson police arrested Robert L. Miles, 38, homeless, at 5:15 a.m. Wednesday. No bond was set for probation violation on a Class A misdemeanor.

Brian Bell, who lost the Democratic Party‚Äôs nomination for sheriff by 48 votes to Scott Mellinger, raised allegations to the election board during a hearing Friday.
