---- — ANDERSON — The owners of the Keg-N-Bottle Liquor Store chain are putting up a $1,000 cash reward through the Anderson Greater Area Crime Stoppers for the arrest and conviction of those responsible for robbing the Keg-N-Bottle Liquor Store, 1703 Meridian St.

The robberies took place on Oct. 1 and 17. Police suspect the two robberies may be related, said Detective Joel Sandefur.

On Oct. 1, at about 7 p.m., two people entered the Meridian Street store dressed in black from head to toe. Both robbers wore Halloween-style masks.

Witnesses told police that one of the two men was armed with a handgun. After getting an undisclosed amount of cash from the cash register, the armed suspect fired a round inside the store as they fled.

The second robbery took place on Oct. 17, around 9:40 p.m. In that incident, only one person entered the store.

The suspect was dressed in the same type of clothing and wore the same type of mask as in the previous robbery on Oct. 1. Surveillance video showed the suspect rushing into the store, with a gun drawn before forcing the employee to open the cash register

No one was injured in either robbery.

The suspects are described as possibly black males, standing approximately 6-feet tall with slender to medium builds.

The Anderson Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in solving these two crimes. If anyone has information about the two robberies they are asked to call Crimes Stoppers at (765) 649-8310.

All callers will remain anonymous and may be eligible for a $1,000 cash reward, should their tip lead to an arrest.
