THB: Now that the fighting children in Washington are back to work, maybe things will get better.
A vacant house in the downtown Anderson area was heavily damaged by fire. (Oct. 11)
◆ “I have a house next door to me that had the basement wall collapse three years ago and is a total loss. ... The city needs to tear all these houses down — they are dangerous. But instead they leave these eyesores standing.”
◆ “Hopefully, it doesn’t stay like that. ... Too many dangerous abandoned homes in Anderson.”
THB: We’re betting this one gets taken down pretty quickly, because of its location. Let’s hope so, anyway.
