Health care scholarship applications available

ELWOOD — St. Vincent Mercy Hospital Foundation is accepting applications for its 2014 scholarship. The $1,000 scholarship grants are offered to high school seniors attending Elwood, Frankton, Madison-Grant and Alexandria high schools who plan to pursue careers in health care fields. It is intended to be used for the 2014-15 academic year.

Applicants must complete the application, obtain three references, provide their school transcript and prepare an essay of no more than 1,000 words explaining their reasons for pursuing a health care career and their goals. Applications are available at the high school guidance offices. Completed applications must be returned to the St.Vincent Mercy Hospital Foundation by March 28.
