Scholarships to be awarded to students studying marketing, journalism

The American Advertising Federation of East Central Indiana will award up to $3,000 in scholarships to college students pursuing careers in advertising, marketing, graphic arts, public relations, journalism, telecommunications or related disciplines.

The deadline has been extended to 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 19. Applications are online at www.adfedeci.org, or available by contacting Donna Penticuff at LifeStream Services, 759-1121, extension 104, or by email to dpenticuff@lifestreaminc.org.

To be considered for this year’s scholarship awards, applicants must be currently enrolled with second-year standing or above at any accredited college or university for the 2014-2015 school year.

Applicants can attend any school but must meet one of the following requirements: Be a resident of Delaware, Blackford, Grant, Henry, Jay, Madison, Randolph or Wayne counties; a relative or a current member of the AAF ECI OR; and paid member of a student AAF group organized in the counties listed above.

Selection of the recipients will be based on the applicant’s personal statement, academic record, leadership, citizenship and extracurricular or community activities.
