Pendleton school's Spring Carnival set for Friday

PENDLETON — The community is invited to enjoy family fun at Pendleton Elementary School’s Spring Carnival. The excitement can be found at Pendleton Elementary Intermediate School on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m.

Every gym, classroom and hallway will be filled with games, new micro stock car race track, new wax hands, jail house, basket raffle, and more. There will be fun for kids and adults alike, organizers said.

The Carnival Cafeteria will be open from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. serving K-burgers, chips, candy, drinks, Gathering Grounds coffee and smoothie bar and Periwinkle Lane cupcakes.

All proceeds from the event go back to the classrooms and teachers who participate in the event. The money is used to buy much needed supplies for their classrooms or new items such as books, games or learning tools for the kids.

During the carnival, bracelets will be $15 for unlimited game play. Some activities will have minimal cost — wax hands $5, photos $2, airbrush tattoos $1, and food.

PES students can purchase advance sale bracelets for $10 each by sending in order forms.

Local and home-based businesses will have their products on display and available for purchase.
