Celebrate Christmas at Lapel High School

---- — LAPEL — The Lapel High School Music Department will present its annual holiday show on Monday in the auditorium. “Celebrate Christmas” will include approximately 175 students. Seasonal music will be performed by the Concert Band, Show Choir, Concert Choir and Jazz Band.

The show will include some classic Christmas favorites as well as new titles. Examples of the music that will be presented are “Sleigh Ride” and Charlie Brown’s “Christmas Time Is Here,” played by the Concert Band and Jazz Band.

Other crowd pleasers will be the Show Choir’s rendition of a unique arrangement of “Jingle Bells” (complete with energetic choreography) and the Concert Choir doing a fun arrangement of “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home).” There will also be duets and solos sprinkled throughout the show.

As always, the finale will be Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus” performed by the combined high school choirs.

“Celebrate Christmas” will begin at 7 p.m. with the auditorium doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Adult admission is $5 and students are admitted free for this special yuletide celebration.
